Rockwall-Heath couldn't hold an early lead Thursday night in a 7-4 loss to Texarkana Texas High in Game 1 of the best-of-three Class 4A Region II semifinals series at Texas High.
Rockwall-Heath (27-9) scored three runs in the first inning, but Texas High scored a run in each of the first three innings to tie the score. Texas High added two runs in the fifth and two runs in the sixth.
Rockwall-Heath's Jovan Hernandez pitched a complete game but fell to 3-1. Rockwall-Heath, which had five hits, was led by center fielder Matt Bielski, who was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.
Game 2 is at 7:30 tonight at Rockwall-Heath.
