Following last week's 27-21 overtime loss to Garland Lakeview, Rockwall is stressing a "move on" attitude.
"We could have tried harder," senior linebacker Michael Kately said. "But it's like coach says, you've got to wad it up and throw it away."
Rockwall, 1-1 in District 10-5A and 16th in SportsDay's 5A rankings, allowed 344 total yards to Lakeview, but coach Scott Smith refuses to dwell on last week.
"There's never been a perfect game played," Smith said. "Execution and effort is what makes a good team. You have to have tunnel vision, because it's a week-to-week life this time of year."
Rockwall plays Rowlett on Friday at Rockwall's Wilkerson-Sanders Memorial Stadium.
