Rowlett pulled off perhaps the biggest upset of the first week, topping Fossil Ridge, 28-14. But Rowlett coach Kiff Hardin said the team's celebration was short-lived.
"They know how good Plano is," Hardin said. "I think they realize that this week's opponent's going to get a little bit better. We've got to get ready to play."
After beating the third-ranked team in 4A last week, Rowlett takes on Plano, 5A's No. 10 team. Hardin said he was happy that his players got to relish such a big win, but only for a short time.
"We have a rule around here, that we come in Saturday morning, get things corrected, and then we put it all behind us," Hardin said. "We come back Monday ready to go. I'm sure they enjoyed it, and it's a good feeling to get the first one under your belt."
