Brown ran his best time of the season, 9:17.98, while placing second to teammate and defending 5A state champion Colby Lowe at the Region I meet. Lowe is seeded first at 9:02.07, and his best outdoor time in the event this season, 8:55.94, came March 27 at the Keller Fossil Ridge Panther Relays. Frisco Centennial senior Cole Reveal placed seventh in the 3,200 last season. Lockhart's Rory Tunningley, the 2007 4A runner-up, and Cedar Park Vista Ridge's Zach Ornelas, are seeded first and second. Pinkston senior Pinya Issa won the 4A Region II meet with a season-best 9:31.78. Argyle senior Blake Woolums was the 2007 3A state runner-up. He won the 3A state cross country title last November.
