Dunbar won the final in 45.92. Lancaster, the defending 4A champion, is the No. 2 seed after winning the Region II meet in 46.99. Mansfield Timberview, Houston Westbury and Skyline are ranked among the nation's top five after their showings in the regional preliminaries, setting up a showdown in the 5A state final. Timberview ran the 5A Region I prelim in 46.32 and registered 46.73 in the final for the No. 2 seed. Westbury posted 46.32 in the Region III prelim and heads into the final seeded No. 1 at 46.55. Skyline ran 46.35 in the Region II prelim and 46.91 in the final for a No. 3 seed. Roosevelt is seeded second in 3A.
