Argyle senior Kristie Krueger, a Georgia recruit, missed a chunk of the regular season because of injuries that had lingered since the end of cross country season last fall. But Krueger is proving she has returned to form after a convincing victory at the regional meet, and she heads into the 3A state meet seeded No. 1 at 2:17.97.

Krueger will have to duel 2007 runner-up Jasmine Dalton of Stafford as well as Prosper teammates Bailey Belvis and Sara Dietz, who are seeded sixth (2:20.89) and eighth (2:22.07).

Richardson's Cetarracca Rockwell produced her best time of the season, 2:13.39 while placing second at the 5A Region II meet and heads into state seeded No. 3.

Lancaster's Tiara Miller is seeded second in 4A at 2:14.63.
