Rowlett senior Marquise Goodwin was part of the U.S. team that won the 4x100 relay in 38.98 seconds at the IAAF World Junior Championships on Saturday in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Goodwin, who became the first American since 1992 to win the World Junior long jump title Wednesday, ran the third leg of the 4x100 relay.

Goodwin, a Texas track and football recruit, won five medals at the 2008 UIL 5A state meet and was named SportsDay's 2008 boys track athlete of the year.
