PLAYER OF THE WEEKAndy McCloud bombed Clear Lake06:56 PM CDT on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 Video Andy McCloud make Athlete of the Week September 30, 2008 Andy McCloud opened up Friday’s game against Clear Lake with an 80 yard touchdown bomb and three touchdowns, bursting on the scene as our “Athlete of the Week.” McCloud finished the game 10 of 17 with 253 yards passing, spreading the wealth to three separate receivers. McCloud connected with six different receivers during the game, with his first touchdown throw was an 80 yard TD bomb to Logan Rowe, who torched the Falcon’s corner down the sideline. The second came midway through the second quarter when he hit Matt Pettitt on a swing pass that went 16 yards for a touchdown, but that would not be it for McCloud adding his third TD on a 32 yard strike to Randy Knust. McCloud has had a great season so far, throwing six touchdowns and one interception racking up 543 yards on 22 completions, leading The Woodlands to a 3-0 record.
Receivers Logan Rowe had 98 yards and one touchdown on three catches, 80 of those yards came on one play. Randy Knust racked up 83 yards and a TD off four catches Matt Pettitt’s one and onl catch went for a 16 yard touchdown. |
