HSGameTime.com's Butch Alsandor recaps some of the top games from Friday night.

There was plenty of high school football action Friday night, the first full slate of games of what is called Zero Week.
But there was also a lot of bad weather.
That was no more evident than at Bulter Stadium for Madison vs. Willowridge.
There was no Vince Young no Thurman Thomas these days and for a while no football Friday night.
The game was canceled in the second quarter because of lightning with the Madison Marlins leading 22-0.
Meanwhile, they honored the senior players at Crusader Field as Strake Jesuit was hosting St. Thomas.
When it came to action, the Crusaders moved the ball pretty well including a lob from quarterback Jeff McVaney that looked like a Tiger Woods golf shot. But Davis Burke caught it for a touchdown.
They hooked up later on a 26-yard touchdown strike and the Crusaders cruised to victory over the Eagles of St. Thomas 28-3.
At Thorne Stadium, the Humble High cheerleaders had something to cheer about vs. Eisenhower. Especially when the ball was pitched to running back Jared Malone.
No need to go around defenders, Malone ran right through two would-be tacklers, down the sideline, for a long touchdown run.
Humble went on to down Ike in a close one 28-26.
Meanwhile in Spring, emotions were running high as the Westfield Mustangs and their fans mourned the loss of star linebacker Herman Mitchell, who was shot and killed last week.
Westfield and Clear Brook were scoreless at the half, but in the second quarter Bo Walker scampered for a six-yard scoring run and that sparked the Mustangs to a 24-7 victory over the Wolverines.
About a dozen games were canceled or called off while in progress because of the weather Friday, so it was no surprise that bad weather was looming as Galena Park played host to Xavier Webb and the Montgomery Bears.
The Yellowjackets had little trouble though including a great play by Galena Park quarterback Kahn McGaffieed who faked the pitch, but kept the rock for the 16-yard scoring run.
Galena Park was up 21-14 in the second quarter when the game was called because of bad weather.
Luckily, for defending 4A Division II state champion La Marque, there was no rain in the forecast. That’s because the Cougars were playing the Indians of Port Neches-Groves under the roof of Reliant Stadium.
And the Cougars’ Michael Patterson took full advantage of the dry field including a scoring run that saw him weaving his way through traffic in route to an 82-yard touchdown.
Patterson had 186 yards on the night as La Marque won handily 19-0.
In other action, El Campo was leading Yates before the game was called because of rain, Galveston Ball led MacArthur but also had the game canceled because of weather.
