The Cypress Ridge Rams went deep into the state playoffs last season, riding on the shoulders of stand out quarterback Russell Shepard. Shepard is a dual threat quarterback who has shown that he can get it done relying on his arm as well as his running ability. Shepard combined his talents last season racking up over 2,300 total yards and 25 touchdowns, leading his team to an 11-2 record while winning their district. He was touted to enter his senior season as the number one quarterback in the state, capturing the attention of every major university. Shepard had over 35 offers to choose from when he made his decision play his next four years at LSU.
