Kendall Timmons scored 34 points, carrying Fort Worth Southwest to a wild 95-89 win over Houston Wheatley in the Class 4A state semifinals.

Fort Worth Southwest (31-6) tied the Class 4A tournament record for most points in a game, matching Dallas South Oak Cliff’s total in a 2006 semifinal.

De Shun Garrett scored 18 to lead Houston Wheatley (29-6).

The teams combined to take 170 shots, put up 52 3-pointers and committed 46 turnovers.

Duane Kinney added 17 points for Southwest and John Boutte scored 18 for Wheatley.
