TOP STORIESSOCCER: Westside wins over Lamar06:15 PM CDT on Wednesday, March 19, 2008Lamar and Westside squared off at Dyer Stadium Wednesday, in district play, fighting for a spot in the playoffs. In district 20-5A; It’s an all out sprint towards playoffs, with all six teams fighting for four possible playoff spots. With Playoffs starting March 20th every game counts. The Wolves of Westside came out strong putting up three quick goals on Lamar early, pacing themselves to a 3-1 victory over the Redskins. 
HSGT The wind seemed like it would play a factor at the start of the game, and proved to be, blowing kicks off course and often times out of bounds. Once Westside had taken the lead, the Wolves started playing lock down defense allowing only one goal off a free kick; and making it difficult for Lamar to move the ball into Westside’s territory
