The Alvin Yellowjackets knock off Bowie Saturday in the softball state final, winning their first ever state title. A double by Kelsey Nichols scored Adelia Gomez to give Alvin their first run of the game. A three run homerun by Meghan Gomez gave Alvin the extra run support to cruise their way to a 4-0 victory.

Amber Anderson, who has been amazing through out the entire playoffs stepped up again, sitting down eight Bowie batters on strikeouts allowing only three hits.
