Southlake Carroll pitcher, Ross Stripling, put on a show off the mound, helping the Dragons get a 7-1 victory in the state semifinals. Stripling got some early run support courtesy of RBI singles from Andrew LaCombe and Will Watson. Stripling finished the game, pitching seven innings allowing five hits and two runs, while striking out nine batters. The Dragons added more run protection for Stripling, jumping all over Cardinals’ pitcher Tyler Duffey, who exited in the third. Tyler Duffey's night ended with: 2 2/3 IP, 7 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 0 BB, 3 K Matt Anderson entered to relieve Duffey, finishing out the inning with: 1/3 IP, 1K Bellaire jumped on the board first with an RBI single by Will McCaleb, scoring Jared Higgins from third base; Higgins made it to third on a triple. |
