"They are walking around as if they won state," says Falcons coach Quincy Shelton. "But there are a lot more games left." "We are ready for any opponent," says Forward Kendre Bailey. "Take them one game at a time and beat them all." Jones is off to a 14-3 start behind coach Shelton. He spent five years leading the Lady Falcons to an astounding 162 victories against 15 defeats, including an incredible 65-1 district record. It might be coach Shelton's first year coaching the boys, but the job used to belong to another Shelton. Quincy's brother Jesse won state during the 2003-2004 season. "I would love to get where he's been and do what he's done so I am looking forward to saying I've done it," says Quincy. "He has bragging rights everyday." |
