The Falcons from Jones high School have nothing to prove, their credentials are all over the gymnasium wall.

Students sitck around to watch them practice, and recently they beat the number one team in 4A, Wheatley.

"They are walking around as if they won state," says Falcons coach Quincy Shelton. "But there are a lot more games left."

"We are ready for any opponent," says Forward Kendre Bailey. "Take them one game at a time and beat them all."

Jones is off to a 14-3 start behind coach Shelton. He spent five years leading the Lady Falcons to an astounding 162 victories against 15 defeats, including an incredible 65-1 district record.

It might be coach Shelton's first year coaching the boys, but the job used to belong to another Shelton. Quincy's brother Jesse won state during the 2003-2004 season.

"I would love to get where he's been and do what he's done so I am looking forward to saying I've done it," says Quincy. "He has bragging rights everyday."
