SPOKANE -- The state rankings come out every Wednesday, and once again the GSL is well represented in a poll that has over the years has leaned towards the west. On the boys side, defending state champ Ferris is the unanimous pick as the best team in the state. Shadle Park’s only loss is to the Saxons. The Highlanders are ranked 6th.

For the girls, L-C is also ranked #1 in the state. The Tigers also have all nine first place votes. Mead is ranked 7th, while Shadle is #10. With just one 4a league. two boys teams and three girls squads ranked in the top ten of the State’s biggest classification. Goes to show just how good basketball is over here.
