Fall may be a few days away, but you'd never guess it by checking outside!
HSGameTime.com Temperatures in the 50's and 40's may be the big deciding factor in some games thisweek as teams get used to the chill of playing in the cold. Hits feel a bit bigger, the ground gets a bit harder, even the ball feels more solid when the cold comes in. All of these things take a toll on the field. Fans aren't immune to the chill either, often stuck on a hard wood (or steel!) bench trying to keep warm. But cold temps are part of the charm that comes with fall sports - warm drinks, hats and gloves, and those maniacs wearing no shirts at all to show their school pride! However you deal with the cold, remember to embrace it, cheer your team on! Get excited about fall sports, and be sure to share your team spirit with everyone by submitting reports and photos to your school's website on HSGameTime! |
