HSGametime.com Central Valley students take home the Stinky Sneaker. They started on Thursday night with the Stinky Sneaker between Central Valley and University. Central Valley won the coveted Stinky Sneaker for the best fan participation and sportsmanship as well as the CV boys game, while the U-Hi girls won their game. HSGametime loved U-Hi Girls' Coach Mark Stinson in a cape, which we thought would give the Titans the Sneaker, but the judges disagreed. The biggest and traditionally the loudest is the Rubber Chicken games between Lewis & Clark and Ferris in the GSL that takes place Tuesday. HSGametime's biggest pet peeve about this game is that crowds on both side are so fascinating to watch, we miss a lot of the action on the floor. Friday Jan. 11 the Coeur d'Alene Vikings take on Lake City in the Fight for the Fish doubleheader. It's a huge game in the standings, too, with the Vikings (10-1, 4-0) with a one game lead over Lake City (8-3, 3-1) and Post Falls (5-7, 3-1) in the standings. Lakeland's new gym in Rathdrum will host the Prairie Pig matchup on Jan. 17. |
