KREM.com The Great Northern League is a different story. Six GNL teams qualified for state at the Tacoma Dome. Three boys teams and three girls squads advanced to the tournament. Clarkston, Cheney and West Valley are the boys teams in. Pullman, West Valley and Clarkston made it on the girls side. Four of the six teams posted wins on Wednesday. Eastern Washington has put up some impressive numbers so far, with the Ferris boys and L-C girls winning 4-A titles, Northwest Christian's boys taking home their third straight in 2-B, and Tekoa-Oakesdale's boys getting second in 1-B. The girls 1-B championship game was a matchup of Whitman County League teams, with Gar-Pal knocking off Colton for the title. That's 8 tournaments played so far, with Eastern Washington teams winning 4 of them, and finishing second in two more. |
