KREM 2 Sports Jake Partridge Rogers High School star Jake Partridge is going through it right now. He's feeling the excitement of being picked and the nervousness about what happens next. Here's what's going on... Partridge was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 18th round (559th overall) in the MLB Draft on Wednesday. He can sign with the Rays and start his pro career, but he'd have to forego his college career. The 18-year-old has a pretty good thing going here in Spokane. He has a full-ride scholarship to Gonzaga University starting next year and he's currently playing for the RiverHawks. Sports reporter and weekend anchor Chris Bach talked to Partridge after the draft and Partridge said he'll make his decision in the next couple of days. |
