Great start gives Chaparral a cushion

Temecula Chaparral jumped out to a 35-0 halftime lead and looked like a team on a mission, ready to start next week's playoffs on a roll.

But the Pumas' year-long inconsistency almost got the best of them as Temecula Great Oak rallied in the second half, only to fall, 35-21, in the final Southwestern League contest for both teams.
