Congratulations to Atherton's Drew Goff and Manual's Zach Torp for winning October's Athlete of the Month.

Drew is a 4.0 student and a 2-year captain for the Atherton Dance Squad. She created two dances during the summer for this year's squad. A 4-year member of the team, Drew plans on going to UL after graduation and studying dentistry. She hopes she can get back into dance after college and possibly coach middle school teams in the future. Drew considers herself both a coach and a captain for the Rebels, and says she takes pride in knowing some of her teammates consider her a mentor.

Zach Torp was nominated in large part due to his impressive shutout of soccer-power St. X on September 11. Zach's domination in goal for Manual broke St. X's 26-game winning streak; prompting St. X coach Andy Schulten to call him the best goaltender in the nation. Zach will be attending the University of Louisville and will be a part of the soccer team.
