Hot and humid weather has Jefferson County public schools pushing back some athletic events. JCPS announced on Tuesday that all football, soccer, field hockey, and cross country competitions scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday will not begin before 7:00 pm. JCPS spokesperson Lauren Roberts tells HSGameTime.com the expected heat index over these two days caused the decision to be made. Practices will go on as scheduled.
