The Assumption Rockets dynasty on the volleyball court continues as they win their fourth straight state title beating Notre Dame Academy in two games (25-17, 25-13) Saturday night.

Senior Kaitlynn James leads the way with 18 kills. Throughout the state tournament the Rockets were never really threatened. Their toughest match came earlier in the day against rival Mercy, but Assumption was able to power through the Jaguars in two games (25-18, 29-27).

The win over Notre Dame gives them their 14^th title in the last 16 season. They end the year 39-3 with their only losses coming to Mercy, Sacred Heart and Mira Costa, CA.
