(WHAS11) - In 24 years as a head basketball coach Jim Shannon has had all kinds of teams. Winning and losing. But nothing quite like this years New Albany Bulldogs. He says, “It’s been incredible.”

Shannon’s Bulldogs haven’t lost a game this season. “I don’t think anybody sits around and fathoms they could go undefeated” Shannon says. The Bulldogs are a perfect 24-0. Their next game is Saturday in the Regionals against East Central. It’s a hot ticket. But then again the sectional champion Bulldogs have been hot all season long.

Senior Braydon Hobbs says, “Everybody’s congratulating us on sectionals and telling us good luck for Regionals and see how far we can make it.” This years Bulldogs are aiming to win the school’s first boys state basketball title since the 1973 team did it.
