HSGameTime.com and VYPE Magazine will name one boy and one girl as "Athlete of the Month" each month. These athletes will receive a plaque and an invitation to the Athete of the Month banquet next spring, where one boy and one girl will be chosen "Athlete of the Year" and receive a $1,000 scholorship to the college of their choice.

To be considered for the Athete of the Month, the student must:

-Be a senior (Class of 2009)

-Participate in at least one varsity sport

-Have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

-Demostrate leadership qualities both within and outside of their sport

-Submit letters of recommendation from their coach and a teacher and a record of their GPA

The Athletes of the Month will be chosen by a committee consisting of members of the VYPE and HSGameTime staff.
