TOP STORIESVandebilt standout pitcher Crane signs with Spring Hill01:08 PM CDT on Friday, April 4, 2008HOUMA – Vandebilt Catholic standout softball pitcher Lauren Crane signed a letter-of-intent to play collegiately at Spring Hill College on Thursday. Crane, a senior left-handed pitcher who has 197 strikeouts so far this season, signed the scholarship in front of family, coaches and teammates in Vandebilt’s library. Crane has helped guide the Lady Terriers (24-4-1 overall, 6-1 in dis-trict) to a share of the District 8-4A title with Belle Chasse this season. Spring Hill, which is located in Mobile, Ala., plans to use Crane as a pitcher, hitter and outfielder next season. |
