TOP STORIESWestview outduels Aloha09:58 AM PDT on Saturday, October 6, 2007The tough teams just keep coming in the Metro League, and something had to give Friday night when the undefeated Warriors of Aloha came to play the undefeated and 2nd-ranked Wildcats of Westview.
The visiting Warriors actually jumped out to the early lead on a first quarter Ben Shelton RD run, and were still hanging within a touchdown, trailing only 19-12 in the fourth quarter when the Wildcats turned on the gas to pull away. Two fourth quarter TD passes from Josh Hill to Tyler Carey put the game away for Westview, which kept its record unblemished at 5-0 with the impressive 32-12 win over the Warriors. Westview athletic director Mike Sanderson says they've been looking forward to this team for three years now, ever since the seniors were a talented group of freshmen. Last year's team was good, but this years squad is even better, and they will give Jesuit a real run for their money. |
