TOP STORIESJesuit, Westview square off12:06 AM PDT on Saturday, October 27, 2007The Metro League title and a top seed in the playoffs were on the line Friday, in what could be the most meaningful game of the year.
hsgametime.com Jesuit beat Westview 27-13, in a battle of the number two and number three ranked teams in the state. The Wildcats (7-1) defense played well enough to keep them in the game, but Jesuit (7-1) was too much to handle. The Crusaders bounced back from their one loss to Lake Oswego, with a new resolve. They've outscored their opponents 196 to 33 in the past five games. That loss might be the best thing that ever happened to them, in their quest for another state title. |
