TOP STORIESPlenty of high school football in Oregon02:30 PM PDT on Friday, September 19, 2008PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- It's Friday, which means lots of prep football action around the state. In the 6-A division, 4th-ranked Jesuit visits Lincoln as it tries to bounce back from last week's 36-33 loss to the top-ranked Lake Oswego Lakers. Lake Oswego, meanwhile, will try to avoid a letdown when it meets Clackamas.
In the 5-A division, it could be a shootout when 7th-ranked Crescent Valley visits Silverton. Crescent Valley averages more than 50 points per game and Silverton is scoring almost 35. Speaking of high scoring, Central High -- the top-ranked team in 4A -- has averaged more than 50 points in its three games this season. Central will try to keep lighting up the scoreboard when it visits Scappoose. |
