TOP STORIESJesuit in command over Beavers, 42-1410:17 AM PDT on Saturday, October 6, 2007Jesuit seemed to have put their loss to Lake Oswego behind them as the visiting third-ranked Crusaders cruised past No. 9 Beaverton, 42-14.
Senior Raphael Lambert gave the Crusaders the lead on a first quarter TD run but the Beavers stayed in the game early, tying it in the second quarter at 7-7 on a TD pass from QB Michael DeHaan to Doug Gilmore. The Crusaders added two more scores in the second quarter to open up a 21-7 advantage but the Beavers fought back on another TD pass by DeHaan, this time to Alex Carona to close to 21-14 at the half. But that was the last time the Beavers would see the end zone and the Crusaders had too much offensive firepower. Led by three rushing TDs by star Senior Raphael Lambert, Jesuit pulled away for the 42-14 win. |
