The 2007 prep football season got underway Thursday night with the Les Schwab Kickoff Classic.

Billed as the "Battle of the Border", the Classic pit a pair of Oregon teams against two teams from Washington at PGE Park in Portland.

In the early game the Westview Wildcats had no problem at all with the Skyview Storm. Kaale Papas had a pair of touchdowns for the Wildcats.

Westview cornerback Pat Coghlin intercepted a Sean Santschi pass and returned it for a score.

The Wildcats won, 36-13.

In the late game, the Tigard Tigers and the Bethel Braves battled until the final minute.

Tigard's Scott Grady, who is headed to the University of Oregon next season, scored all three of the Tigers touchdown's in the first half. But the Braves rallied in the fourth quarter to steal the game, 35-34.
