Sheldon dealt Lake Oswego its first loss of the season Friday night, beating the Lakers 28-27 on a failed extra point in overtime.

With the win Sheldon advances to the OSAA semifinals to face Grant, and Lake Oswego's near-perfect season is over.

Jordan Johnson led the way for Sheldon, throwing for 3 TDs and running for another. Zack Young ran for two scores for Lake Oswego, and Jack Lomax passed for two more.

Lake Oswego went ahead 21-14 with just over two minutes left in the game, but Sheldon drove the length of the field to tie the score and force OT. Both teams scored in overtime, but Lake Oswego's missed extra point sent Sheldon on in the playoffs.
