The race for the 2007 Interscholastic League Division I championship gets under way the same way last season ended with a rematch of the 2006 Super Bowl between East Providence and Hendricken at Hendricken. Nate Lovett, the All-State quarterback who led East Providence to last year's state title is back directing the Townies atttack. Hendricken is led once again by All-State running back Brandford Sowah, who rushed for 1,435 yards last season. The game is the Division I regular season opener for both teams. Gametime: Friday 7 p.m.
