Baseball All-StatesCody Normand11:00 AM EDT on Friday, July 3, 2009 A first-team All-State football selection in the fall, Normand earned his second consecutive first-team baseball honor this spring after playing a major role in North Kingstown’s 17-1 regular-season record and berth in the Division I state title series with his pitching efforts. He posted a 6-1 record and 1.69 E.R.A. in 49 2/3 innings against Division I competition. He had a 4-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio as he posted 52 Ks and only walked 13. Two of his victories came in the Division I playoffs, including a five-hit effort in the opening round of the Division I Final Four. His only loss of the season was to Hendricken in the title-deciding game of the state tourney.
