Baseball All-StatesJordan Nasser11:00 AM EDT on Friday, July 3, 2009 Nasser moved into the No. 2 spot in the Hendricken batting order this season and played a big role in the Hawks winning 23 straight games en route to the Division I state title. He was second on the team in runs scored with 29 and also led the Hawks in on-base percentage with a .620 mark. His 27 hits in 69 official trips for a .420 batting average helped fill some of the void created by 2008 All-State Evan Marzilli missing half of the regular season with a back injury. He also continually helped out the Hawks' pitching staff with big defensive plays at second base, including one in the state-title deciding game at McCoy Stadium.
