Costantino stepped up and gave the Hawks one of the big bats they needed in their drive to their first state title in three years. A solid defensive player at first base, he also was the Hawks' second-leading hitter with a .444 average, the No. 2 run-producer with 30 RBI and the second-leading home-run hitter with six round-trippers. He had 32 hits in 72 plate appearances, including 17 for extra bases. His performance helped the Hawks score a Division I-high 175 runs this season.
