A first-team All-State selection in football in the fall, D'Errico may have had an even better season on the baseball diamond this spring. He was named the Division I-South Outstanding Player after a season in which his hitting and pitching led the Skippers to a share of the I-South regular-season title. In 84 plate appearances this season, he had 39 hits for a .464 average. Fourteen of his hits were for extra bases, including eight home runs. He also scored 36 runs and drove home 36 runs batting out of the No. 3 spot in the Skippers lineup.
