Baseball All-StatesChris Famiglietti06:00 PM EDT on Saturday, June 28, 2008 Voted the Outstanding Player of the Year in Division I-West, the Texas A&M-bound Famiglietti closed out his high school career with a sensational season at the plate, on the basepaths and in the outfield. In hit safely 42 times in 77 official plate appearances for a stunning .545 average. He hit for both average and power as seven of his 42 hits were home runs. An exceptional base-runner, he stole 39 bases in 27 games, scored 45 runs and drove home 33 runs. On the defensive side from his spot in centerfield, he made 34 putouts and committed only one error.
