A three-time All-State selection, the senior shortstop led the Hawks to the state championship this year with the best season of his high school career. At the plate he hit .554 with 46 hits in 83 appearances. He had 20 extra-base hits, including five home runs. One of those four-baggers sent Hendricken into the title round of the state tournament as he broke an 11-11 tie with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the seventh inning of the winner's bracket final of the state tourney. Headed to Auburn University in the fall, he led the Hawks this spring with 42 runs and also drove home 31 runs.
