Baseball All-StatesJackson Geary09:23 AM EDT on Monday, June 30, 2008 The Most Valuable Player in Division I-South for the second straight year, the Rebels' crafty right-hander also earned his second straight first-team All-State selection after a season in which he won eight of his nine Interscholastic League decisions and registered a save. He posted a 0.60 E.R.A. en route to a 6-1 regular season record, then didn't allow a run in 14 innings of playoff competition. Headed to Coastal Carolina University in the fall, he struck out 72 and walked only 13 in 63 innings overall. His eight victories this season gave him a combined total of 20 victories in the past two seasons.
