One of only two pitchers who defeated state champion Hendricken this season, Normand won eight of his nine Interscholastic League decisions. His mound performances played a major role in North Kingstown earning a share of the I-South regular-season title. He allowed only 14 earned runs in 51 innings on the mound for 1.90 E.R.A. He posted 45 strikeouts while walking only 12. His only loss was to defending state champion Cranston West during the regular season, but he defeated the Falcons in a regional playoff game.
