Baseball All-StatesJohn Pedrotty06:00 PM EDT on Saturday, June 28, 2008 Once again this season Pedrotty combined with teammate Ryan Westmoreland to give the Patriots the top one-two offensive punch in the state. Batting fourth behind Westmoreland, Pedrotty hit .451 with 32 hits in 71 plate appearances. He helped Portsmouth post the best regular-season record in the state, (17-1) as he drove home 36 runs and scored 19 runs. Voted the Most Valuable Player in Division I-East, he tied for the Portsmouth team lead in extra-base hits with 12. He plans to major in biology and to play baseball at Holy Cross.
