As one of the top all-around players in the Interscholastic League this season, Degnan was the Hawks' top scorer during the regular season. He averaged 16.6 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals per game to help guide the Hawks to the Division I-West title with a 17-1 record. In the playoffs, Degnan scored 19 points in Hendricken's 61-44 quarterfinal victory over St. Raphael Academy, 22 points with 13 rebounds in Hendricken's 73-60 triumph over Mount Pleasant, and 16 points with 5 assists and 4 rebounds in Hendricken's 67-64 state championship win over Woonsocket.
