Averaging 21.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals per game this season, Ward amassed 2,226 points, 828 rebounds, 440 assists and 372 steals in four years. She led the Bulldogs to the II-South Division title and a quarterfinal appearance in the Division II tournament. "Meredith has the one thing that a coach can't teach - a tremendous heart and a passion for the game," Westerly coach Holly Misto said of the 2007 R.I. Gatorade Player of the Year. "Whether it's practice or a game, she brings a high level of intensity every time she steps on the court. All of the hours in the gym shooting around and lifting in the weight room have paid off for her. Holy Cross is getting an exceptional talent and a terrific young lady."
