A second-team All-State last year in his first season of high school competition, Adams moved up to the first team this year as played a big role in Barrington's regaining the state team title. His opening-round three-over 74 in the state tournament matched fellow first-team All-State Ed Hjerpe for the top Barrington score in the 18-hole team portion of the tournament. He finished the 36-hole individual tournament in a tie for third with a 152.
