Earning second-team All-State honors last season after finishing eighth in the all-around at the Midge Palmer Individual State Championships, McCabe moves up to the first team after jumping three places at this year’s state meet. Taking fifth in the all-around with a score of 35.225 that included a fourth-place showing on vault (9.2) and a fifth-place finish on bars (8.725), the junior helped North Kingstown to a share of the regular-season Division I crown with La Salle and then a runner-up finish to the Rams at the State Championships. Two weeks later, McCabe helped the Skippers place fifth at the New England Championships.
