He averaged 37 saves per game over a 16-game game schedule this season, including a pair of 60-plus save performances.Michael Violette The leading scorer in the New England Independent School League's Eberhart Division, Violette earned his third consecutive first-team All-ISL all-star team honor this season.04/20/2009Kristen Eklund The Eagles senior star was the most versatile player in the state this season as she was equally effective at either defense or forward.Cate Colucci The only returning member of last year first-team All-State hockey team on this year’s top sextet, the multitalented Colucci led the Bengals to a successful defense of their Division I state title with her play.Jane Baruch The regular-season co-leading scorer for the Division I state champion Bengals, Baruch became the first girl to win the William Thayer Memorial award for most assists by a Rhode Island high school hockey player during the regular season as she assisted on 28 goals in 17 regular-season games.Katie Loiselle Loiselle was the leading scorer of a young Mount St. Charles team that won a regular-season Division I co-championship and also pushed the best-of-three Division I title series to three games.Kaitlin O'Donnell The top overall scorer in the state, O’Donnell led La Salle to the Division II state title and also proved she could play with the top players in Division I.Kayla DiLorenzo DiLorenzo helped a young Mount St. Charles team earn a share of the Division I regular-season title and reach the title round of the Division I playoffs with her play in the crease.
Noel Acciari A second-team All-State selection last season, Acciari moved up to the first team this year after a season in which he scored more than 40 points in 18 regular-season games for the second straight year. Derek Army The Quakers senior star earned his second All-State selection after leading Moses Brown to a third place finish in Division I, the best finish by the Quakers in their five years of Division I competition.Kyle Beauchamp The captain of this year’s Mount St. Charles state championship team, Beauchamp played a major role in the Mounties' drive to the Division I state crown with his leadership and offensive production.Shane Dunphy Dunphy was the leader of a Mount defense corps that played a major role in the Mounties' allowing an average of less than a goal a game during the 18-game regular season.Teddy Pekalski Pekalski played a major role as Hendricken earned its fifth consecutive berth in the Division I state title series.Jason San Antonio The backbone of the best defense in state this season, as the state champion Mounties only gave up 17 goals in 18 regular-season games.
