Giulia Basile Basile concludes her high school lacrosse career with a third All-State selection, her second on the first team, as well as a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse-R.I. Academic All-America team.Taylor Bastien Co-winner of the team’s Most Valuable Player award for the second year in a row, as well as co-recipient of the school’s Most Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year honors, both with teammate Carol Records, Bastien once again led the Skippers with her 45 goals and 19 assists this season.Becky Bracken Described by Barrington coach Peter Brock as “the hardest-working player I have ever coached,” Bracken routinely shows up to practice having already worked out for a half-hour on her own.Anna Carr When East Greenwich coach Judy Davis handed out postseason accolades to her team this season, she didn’t have to think twice about naming Carr the Avengers’ Most Valuable Player.Avery Griffith Barrington gave up a league-low 78 goals en route to capturing the regular-season Division I title this spring, and Griffith had more than a little to do with that.Lauren O'Brien O’Brien makes a repeat appearance on the All-State team after helping Moses Brown to a share of second place during the regular season and a spot in the Division I semifinals.Amy Mulvena La Salle made tremendous strides as a team this season, thanks in part to the play of Mulvena.Carol Records Described by North Kingstown coach Keith Higgins as a “tenacious defender and tremendous leader,” Records earns her third straight appearance on the All-State first team despite having only played the sport for four years.Leah Saris Earning an honorable mention on the R.I. Chapter of U.S. Lacrosse All-America team, as well as a spot on the U.S. Lacrosse-R.I. Academic All-America squad, Saris produced yet another solid season for the Quakers. Marisa Morgera Named co-MVP of the Division II Tournament along with Crusaders goalkeeper and second-team All-State Amanda Kalk, Morgera scored 38 goals and assisted on 21 others this season in helping Prout to both the regular-season title with an 11-1 record and the Division II state crown.Abigail Walsh Prout gave up a league-low 78 goals this season, and Walsh was one of the main reasons why opposing teams had so much trouble finding the back of the net, as the senior co-captain and defender led the Crusaders both in forced turnovers and ground balls.Meghan Colucci Bay View made a seamless transition after moving up a division this season, and Colucci was one of the keys to that success, helping the Bengals to a 10-2 record and second place in Division II during the regular season, followed by a spot in the Division II championship.
