Maroni is making his second first-team All-State appearance. One of the best defenders in the state, Maroni excelled at stopping talented scorers, picking up ground balls and setting up North Kingstown's offense. Maroni helped North Kingstown produce the second-best defense in the state, and he did an excellent job in the state title game, helping limit La Salle to just 10 goals, which was three below its average in a 13-10 North Kingstown state championship victory.
